You should schedule your move as soon as you feel comfortable, although you may want to wait until your Purchase & Sales Agreement is fully executed. However in an effort to avoid a very large problem, please speak with your legal counsel prior to scheduling the moving company to verify the closing time! Essentially, the seller (or the current occupant) along with their belongings must be vacated and "broom cleaned" prior to the scheduled closing date and time. The buyer customarily obtains possession and/or access directly after the actual closing. I will be scheduling a walk-thru for the buyer just prior to the closing time. Sellers should leave all additional sets of keys (including the mailbox key) on the kitchen counter, and deliver one set to the listing agent or your attorney!
  
It is very important to note that most moving companies are booked well in advance and will most likely want to view the property prior to providing you with a price quote. If your home is located adjacent to the street, you may need to contact the City of Boston Parking Department for a parking permit during the hours of your move.
